Experience
David is a veteran of the United States Air Force with over a decade of honorable service working with Special Operations Forces from around the globe. His diverse background includes Tactical Communications, Hostage Rescue, Search and Rescue (SAR) and Dive Rescue and Recovery. David has participated in hundreds of diverse and dangerous missions in every terrain and climate possible to save lives and recover bodies. He has operated under the Ice, in fast moving rivers, on mountain tops, under water at high altitude and many other environments and conditions. In 2010 David was certified by Israeli Counter Terrorists as a Professional Body Guard for High Risk Areas. Recently he served as the Chief of Security for the Utah Hospital Task Force that deployed to Haiti shortly after the devastating Earthquake. His duties included protecting the Task Force Commander and his staff, as well as escorting and protecting 120 doctors and nurses risking life and limb to provide humanitarian relief. During the Haiti deployment David planned and executed key missions focused on securing orphans and recovering abducted children.
Skills
David is formally trained in many styles of fighting and is a National Tae Kwon Do champion in forms and full contact. He taught the U.S. Military and British Forces in unarmed fighting and has crystallized his methods of preserving life into a system that is reflected in the course offerings at the Urban Warfare Center®. Among his many certifications he is a distinguished graduate of several shooting, tactical and emergency response programs. He has mastered many firearms and is a qualified Senior Instructor for both unarmed and armed combat.
David is a student of life and constantly seeking new methods and techniques to mitigate risk and survive lethal confrontations. He is an excellent instructor and has volunteered thousands of hours training youth, law enforcement, military and civilians and continues this mission today.
